2.2 weeks till I pull out - Post some pics! Elk, Deer, hot Montana women - whatever!

Edpre,

I didn't take any pics but last Friday I boated from the Marina at Fort Peck up past Fourchette and back. Burned up $400 of gas and had to hit Hell Creek Marina going both ways. The country looks great, starting to dry up finally. Just pray for no fires given the forecast for today.

Here are a few pics of a bull I seen on my way into set up my stand. Overall I saw 10 bulls this evening, this one was the biggest along with a stud five by five and another five that had a 12 in drop on his left side. This one will be a seven by six with super seconds.

Are the pictures of the mule deer through a spotting scope? Are the mule deer on public land? Those are some stud bucks, if that is a open unit in Mt you have something special. Good luck in the up coming season.

The one bedded in the hay is the one Im trying to find again, havnt seen him since I took that pic, amazing how the disappear right before the season starts every year...

Here is what the scouting on the Lower Milk River looks like.

EHD is taking a toll on any of the deer that survived the record winter and the record spring flooding. They are dying by the hundreds.

I heard the ole Buck Master ranch was covered with dead deer, the EHD multiplied by their "food plots" AKA BAIT.

Royce,
We'll be concentrating on 622 for bulls, have 700 cow tags and bucks in either.

Im actually gonna be in 410... kitty corner I guess. Im planning on camping. Just not sure where at yet!

NoneYet complains to the moderators about people ridiculing him? Do you have some scouting pictures minus the fawns and calves? Did your hot girlfriend and you have a menage with the goat?

Found that buck AND 2 bucks I hadnt seen before...one HEAVY buck(Heavy D) about 26" wide, deer forks ect and over the next ridge in another bachelor group was an absolute hog,min 29" wide with great forks all the way around, huge brows, mass, ect has a 5-6" kicker coming off his right side sticking straight out off the main beam (Gorgeous George). Both groups were unusually spooky witch isnt good, going to say my prayers and hope they stick around,or show back up for the rifle opener like they did last year, either way Im done scouting for deer.My buddy did take a nice Tatonka today with his obsidian spear...sorry Ryan had to post this pic!(we were moving some mounts out of my cabin before the ceiling gets repaired next week and I just had to take this pic)

Here are a few pictures of my scouting from this weekend. I saw three decent 6+6 and so far most of the bulls have lost their velvet.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-22-11 AT 06:20PM (MST)[p]Bulls are bugling at first light behind the house....talked to the Skytop ranch guys today,100-150 head down every night and they heard a few bugles after dark.
