Kalispell Area Deer tag

To answer your question, Montana does not have land owner tags like some other states do. There is a land owner preference draw. I am not sure on the odds, but you would first need to find a land owner that does it. Your probably better off either contacting an outfitter and they can walk you thru the application/draw process or go diy and turn in for the non resident tag in early March. Either way you are too late for this year. If you go diy there are many ranches enrolled in block management(you can get that info on the Montana fish and game website) If you go with an outfitter they typically have ranches leased where they control the hunting. Hope this helps.

BTW you can only get land owner preference if you are immediate family or a paid employee with tax records proving you work for the land owner, they can give it to one person per year.
