Any Super Tag info???

Zigga, I ran into a guy and his wife where I hunt that were from Cody, Wyoming supposedly scouting for the Supertag mule deer holder. They were real interested in a buck on private land near where I met them. The landowner does not allow hunting except for family and close friends, but they were trying to get a look at him anyway. I heard the guy took a so-so buck here in the Root, but can't confirm. I didn't like the fact they were where they were, but guess they didn't see anything worthwhile that day. Suits me. mtmuley

Heard the same thing, took a decent buck but nothing "super",havnt seen any pics yet.

The state should require all Supertag animals to be checked in and have all photo rights so they can advertise and promote Supertag sales. I know it kills odds but they are poor anyway. Also, out-of-state sales should be $10 a piece or more. Hopefully they turn it in to an even bigger money maker but we all know how poorly the FnG is run. Kind of a wasted opportunity to raise more money for whatever these funds go to. I'm not sure I even want to know but that is something else we should all know without having to dig for it.

I am pretty sure the elk super tag holder killed an "average" bull out of the Bull Mountains with a bow. I think I heard it was a 340 type bull.

Who cares what people shoot on super tags...or any tag for that matter.

Their tag, their hunt, their choice...and they shouldnt be forced to put their picture in a fuggin' magazine.

If huge animals are taken and shown then more people would want to buy tickets thus raising more money which is the point of the Supertags.

>Any other rights you feel like
>taking away from hunters??? Or
>is that the only one?
>

Then I guess those people shouldn't be buying tags then huh?? Have you ever bought a lottery ticket?

LAST EDITED ON Dec-13-11 AT 01:14PM (MST)[p]I guess maybe people should mind their own fuggin' business...for most, thats more than a full time job.

Its ridiculous to force people to have pictures of their animals posted/printed just so you know what they shot.

None of your concern...

This money driven bullchit and associated governors/raffle/supertags is a big mistake and turning hunting into something that it was never intended to be.

I'm not in favor of being "forced" into pictures of my animals being printed because I get lucky and drew a permit. Asking is one thing...forcing is another.

They shouldn't be forced to show but it would be great if they did. There should be an incentive to show maybe like free taxidermy work or something. It would be cool if the Montana Outdoors mag was full of supertag trophies. The main reason we come to sites like this one is to see others' successes is it not?

"That's a special feeling, Lloyd"

Yep we gave you a statewide tag for $5 lets throw in the taxidermy work as well...

LAST EDITED ON Dec-28-11 AT 09:40AM (MST)[p]I drew a Super Tag for Elk in Idaho this year and If they would had told me I had let them take pictures of my Elk after I killed it, I would had told them NO!

Why?They can call you up and make you take them back to the kill site at their whim yet you accepted the tag? What would a pic for them hurt?

LAST EDITED ON Dec-28-11 AT 05:45PM (MST)[p]Tkhunt, where you from that a 340 bull is average? I'm moving there. haha
