Deer/elk reminder

For those NR's who plan on trying to hunt Montana this season, deadline for the deer/elk is March 15th. I already bought my tags and lics (resident) and have my special applications for deer and elk completed. Good luck.

Thanks for the reminder. I've been thinking really hard and trying to justify the $$ to apply, it sure seems a bit high. But, since I will be moving on up later this year, I might as well take the plunge.

I apply for the NR BGC every year.
The BGC will be a 100% draw again. I know of a couple groups that didn't apply this year. The cost and elk/deer populations are a factor.
I will get a refund on the elk part of the combo if I don't draw the permit area.

I applied for the Elk combo. If they dont sell out and there is no draw FWP should let me use my preference point next year!!!- Hatrick

I applied for Unit 401-15, but plan to hunt in unit 799-15. It seemed like better draw odds. I hope I did not overthink the draw process and mess up.

Ought to be a good year there,very few hunters had any luck up there last year because of the conditions,numbers should be good.

I applied for the elk combo. I'm moving from Wyoming to Glendive the end of the month so I figured I better try for tags. Put in 410-15 for elk(not holding my breath) I was hoping to buy resident tags OTC after 6 months but the clause that I "can't hold a resident tag in another state" keeps me from having it even though I would have made the time frame requirements.
