How did the fire in the north part of 410 affect the habitat and elk hunting last fall. Is it going to be an improvement or a bad thing?

In general, fires seem to help. It takes out dead material so fresh green grass can come up. Not sure about that fire specifically but it's usually a good thing.

So much dry vegetation, if fires get going this Spring i'ts going to be hot and big. Sweet Clover caused some problems for hunters last Fall, very little Sweet Clover growth this year.

Not as much sweet clover this year? That is good news. I hunted 702 last year and it was terrible. Why does it change so much from one year to the next? Do you think there is less in 702 as well?

Yes, those areas in E MT with all that Sweet Clover last year will have little to no Sweet Clover this year. Sweet Clover is a two year plant. Conditions need to be wet and mild in Late Aug- Sept for the seed to germinate. The next Spring With favorable weather the plants shoots up to go to seed, then dies. Conditions were far to dry last Sept for Sweet Clover to germinate. Here and there will be some, nothing like last Fall.
