Blood Bath

Prairie Dogs. Took last year off shooting dogs due to many of the places I could shoot had the plague here in SE Montana. The good news is for any who may be wondering, the numbers are starting to bounce back in many of the places around. Had my first shoot of the year this afternoon. Almost forgot how much fun it is watching them do flips or whatever after a good hit. Fun day, except for 1 fact, got some cactus in my azz.

Im assembling a brand new lr308 this week,the gophers in my neck o the woods are in big trouble!Saw the first one of the year run across the driveway yesterday afternoon,it wont be long till they are all out.

great envy!

Went out twice since my oringal post. The one dog town is about a 3 mile hike in a secluded valley, havent been there for acouple of years so figured I would give it a try. Terrible day, dog town was vacant. Not a single dog.

However, went back out again yesterday. Had a awesome day, got tons of shooting in. Tried a differnt town I know about. Its a short hike into a area that I found deer hunting while back. 3 of us went. My mother shot the 17, My father took his 22 hornet, and I used my AR 223.

Acouple of neat pictures I thought. We take turns spotting. Heres my mother spotting. And the next, my dog loves to go along too. And a dead dog...

Good lookin gopher dog you got there.I got the lr 308 dialed in but havnt had a chance to draw blood yet,wont be long.
