I'm headed on my first hunting trip to Montana in November. I'll be hunting elk and deer pheasants and maybe a wolf? What is threw typical weather the first of November. I assume cold and windy but don't want to be UN prepared.any tips our advise will be much appreciated!

Im not sure what a "deer pheasant" is but you should be prepared for anything from 65 above and sunny to 10 below and nasty.It can change hourly here and Id plan on both kinds of weather.Good luck on your hunt.
 
Corect could be 70 or -20. Last year it was -20 (actual not wind chill) the day I got my whitetail. With Montana you never know. To illustrate, there's a place in Montana that holds the record for 100 degree temperature swing in 24 hrs!
 
A couple hours from GF is...Winett,Lewistown,Butte,Browning,Chinook...leaves alot of guesswork as far what kind of conditions/wildlife you should expect.
 
You will have a great time and fun hunt! Like has already been said; plan on any type of weather, it can and will change fast.
