Antelope Rifle Opener

Anyone get out for Antelope opener here in Montana? Feeling alittle depressed, first year in over a decade didnt get out chasing them on opener. Didnt draw the tag as a resident...

Weather is about the same for antelope opener here in eastern Montana as most years. Very common for crappy weather to move in. Saturday was nice but Friday afternoon had some snow to grease stuff up, and Monday rained. Which is needed as its very dry out.

Good luck to whom is out there hunting them. Populations are way down but still a few goods ones around to be had.

I killed a good one opening morning, and my brother got a nice one Sunday. He's still out there trying to get his wife on one. Our group got really lucky and drew 3/4 buck tags in 700.

Seemed like way less hunters out with the tag numbers being lowered.

Out of three of us I drew one doe tag,thats it.Used it as an opportunity for some long range practice,went out sunday and set up on a ridge over a pond.552 yard heart shot and a 2 mile pack out,good practice for the general season coming up soon!

I drew the 900 and my boy and I both got doe tags in the west. Arrowed a buck earlier, and missed the opener due to the son's football game, but we a great time on the does on Sunday. Great fun - Awesome eats!

Nice fawn, nonya!!!! What's your setup as far as gun, caliber, and scope? I posted my goat over in the antelope section. I had the 900 tag, but most my buddies still like the 700.
