very nice buck dude!!! I hunted near the breaks a few years ago and all I can say is WOW, it was amazing!

Not much of a story to tell. Left Billings at 2:30 am. Arrived at my hike-in point around 6:15. Hiked about a half mile, spotted the buck with 5 does about 700 yards out, dropped into the basin he was in and made a 295 yard neck shot. My first shot missed standing broadside. Go figure. Had to quarter him up, and packed him out with my brother in our Badlands 4500s. The pack wasn't bad other than the last 1/8 of a mile (straight up!)

Highlight of the day was seeing a 340 class 6 point with 20 cows skylined off to the east about 300 yards away just as the sun was starting to light up the eastern sky. Totally surreal moment.

Not a monster, but for a quick day hunt for someone with many work and family responsibilities, I can't complain.
