Bought a property 3 years ago below Forth Peck area hunted there in 410 for the past 2 years with sucess but not to many big muley on public land so planning to due a hunt in one of the back country HDs that opens early. Does anybody have any recommendations wich hd and what area that holds tropy qualty muleys (will be hiking in for 5-6 days)appreciate any info

How is the backcountry District 150,151 as far as mule deer size and population levels? Any feed back is appreciated

Get a new pair of boots and do some scouting this summer,internet scouting isnt going to get you far.

That is the plan just want to collect info to narrow down my scouting area since I have to drive 5hrs and spend days out there

Only 5 hours? Jeez Solitude, it takes about twice that to drive across the state. 5 hours is next door. mtmuley

250, as well as 240 have early season wilderness tags, but both are a draw. The deadline was last month as you probably know. mtmuley
