Hi All,

Long time reader first time poster. My dad and I have been hunting general deer units for several years and decided to change things up a bit this year and try out the Pryor Mountains. From what I understand about the unit so far is the deer numbers are low but the sex ratios are good. It also sounds like we should stay away from the reservation. Certainly not trying to find out anybody's favorite spot as we like to hunt away from people as well, but any information to start scouting would be much appreciated. In exchange I would be glad to share about any information I can about deer hunting HD 300, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, or California.

Thanks in Advance

Dad and I went 1 for 2 on the Pryor Mountain hunt, as expected deer numbers were fairly low but we had a few opportunities on 2.5 and 3.5 year old bucks. On the plus side the country is beautiful and it was really cool seeing big horn sheep and wild horses. On the negative side the morning after we ate the tenderloins out of my buck, I received an email that there was a suspected case of CWD found in the unit. As always it was great seeing a new area and spending time with family. If anyone would like some further info on the area please let me know.
