Non-Res Montana Questions

Hey folks, I have recently been assigned to Minot ND, from a base in New Mexico where I was fortunate enough to hunt elk almost every year. With ND being an OIL Elk hunting state, I have focused most of my energy into the Montana Non-Res hunts. Here are a couple questions I am hoping to get answered:

When do the new license year regulations typically come out?

Is it common for the permit units to change between years?

If you draw a general license, and are unsuccessful during archery season, you can still hunt general rifle season, correct? Or is it unit specific?

Final approval of regs is mid February so application packets usual print and distribute around end of February

In general, Yes you can hunt both seasons. A few areas are general for archery then require a special draw permit to hunt rifle so know your units regulations.
