Idaho Unit 1 Black Bear

Just wondering if anyone had any advice on this unit. I am looking at doing a spot and stalk bear hunt in this unit up around the priest lake area. Just looking for some general information on the quality and quantity of bears in this area. I am not looking for the biggest bears in the world or bears around every bush but if a guy was willing to work hard and spend 4 or 5 days laying down some boot leather and hours behind the glass would he have a decent chance at success?

Thanks in advance for any response.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-06-15 AT 05:54PM (MST)[p]I do the bait thing so I haven't been there much, but any local that is serious about spot and stalk goes there. Around priest is really good, lots of ground that's huntable with good bear numbers.

If anyone has a local contact that could keep me posted on snow depths as the spring progresses that would be much appreciated.

We had a pretty heavy snow early, but since Jan it's been lighter than normal. Would imagine access will be better than most years. We try not to get too excited too early, as we always see more bears later anyway as their rut progresses.
