Big Idaho buck

I was able to take this buck last week. With the extras, he's 34" wide with lots of mass and long points.

General tag. We just had to work pretty hard to get up to them. We gained almost 2000 feet elevation in less than a mile.

That was last year's buck. I wish I could have shot another one like that this year, but it was not in the cards. I did have a chance at one similar in class, but my wife was between me and the deer, and I would have had to shoot over the top of her. I just won't do that. It was hard to watch it walk away, but it's only a deer and not worth the risk. We had to settle for a couple of smaller ones instead.
