But I like the character of this one that walked into my bullet last Friday oct 23. Was a perfect day of deer hunting.

I prefer toting my blackpowder guns around in November, but when I can't I sure like 39 for great general season habitat. Just gotta put in a few miles.

Thanks for the congrats all. Due to a busy fall schedule I did not have much time to devote to my own hunting this year. So I snuck out of work with the intention to just fill my tag. I passed up a 185 yard freehand shot at a small 2 pt, just didn't feel good about it. So I let him step into a patch of brush and then got in a better shooting position behind a stump. And waited. And waited. After about 15 or 20 minutes was figuring he snuck out the back but kept my patience. Then I heard the brush moving and this guy stepped out instead! One bullet and done! What a nice surprise.

He is right at 26 wide, and those back tines are over 17 inches.
