A buddy of mine recently moved to Idaho and my cousin and I want to make a trip out there this year to do some deer hunting. My friend has only been hunting for a couple of years and doesn't have much experience yet so I am looking for a little extra info on the area. He lives near unit 25 and I am wondering what to expect there or if we should try something else nearby instead. Any information would be appreciated.

Based on what little I know of unit 25 and IDFG harvest reports I think your time may be better spent elsewhere for deer. Just doesn't seem like there a great deer unit. 23 to the west or south of unit 25 in what would be the sawtooth elk zone seem to have better deer numbers. All that being said a guy at work showed me pics of a decent 4 point and a 3 point he and his nephew were able to take in unit 25 this year, so there are deer there
