Unit 11 deer

Hey guys, I drew a early deer tag for unit 11. I last drew in 2001. Just curios if anybody has hunted or has any resent experience in the unit. I know the quality has dropped off from what it once was.

Where do you live? Are you going to scout? Have you spent time in this unit? How big of a buck would you consider a first day shooter? How good of shape are you in?

I have spent alot of time in this unit. Not since 2001 though. May be able to do one scouting trip but if not I do know of places I want to hit when I get there. I know how steep the country is been up and down it many times. But just turned 60 this year and a bit wiser and spend more time behind the glass. Fortunate to still be fit and can get after it when needed. Basically looking for a mature buck not super hung up on score. Just hoping someone may have some recent intel to share.
