57 Deer

Hey Idaho guys....I got lucky in the 2nd draw, and drew a 57 deer tag. I know a little about the unit, and know a bunch burned a few years ago. Anyone ever hunt this unit, or have any insight/advice?

My daughter drew that tag last year. Its a decent hunt and we saw lots of deer. I was actually really amazed at the amount of deer we did see. We hunted later in the season right up to the end. We never could find any real big deer but we saw lots of smaller bucks. She finally settled on a nice 4 point and filled her tag.
I scouted the unit a little before any season opened and found several really nice deer. I would suggest finding a deer you would like to try and take and kill it opening day. Get in there now and you'll find some of the bigger bucks. When they put that rotating muzzy hunt in there in Nov. it took a toll on the bigger age class bucks. Hopefully they don't bring it back there. Good luck you should do well if you put your time in.
