Anyone have any details on how this works? Looks like there are specific meat processors that will take wild game. Has anyone ever used this or have any stories good/bad?

My buddy Nate Matlack is the local director in Idaho falls. Basically how it works is they raise money to bay a butcher to process into mainly hamburger to then be used in soup kitchens for the poor. All the hunter has to do is bring the skinned out Caracas or quarters or boned out meat to the designated butcher.

Thanks kimbersig for the info, sounds like a similar program we have here. I've always brought my game meat back home with me but I'm eating less and less of it each year for a couple reasons, one of which involves an occassional allergic reaction to red meat. If I harvest anything I want to make sure the meat isnt wasted.

No prob. If you have more questions I'm sure you can get info off Facebook or their website on the particulars of which butcher they are working with.
