Trespass Cattle

So I chatted the F&G on Facebook asking why there are still beef cows on the Tex Creek WMA considering the fire and the fact they issued 1,000 doe/elk tags. They said they are "trespass" cattle and have been working with the owner to remove them.. WOW. Those cows have been there for MONTHS...

And the sad thing is there is pretty much nothing that will happen to the rancher. So while we as stewards of public land pay to feed his cows, we issue 1000 antlerless tags. So stupid.

Sounds like a freezer full of beef to me. That would light a fire under that ranchers @ss to move em out.

The problem isnt this year, they have let them get away with it for years. I have found cows up top of chicken creek and other areas in the middle of February.
