Ther was a lot of questions from people that drew elk and deer tags earlier on before last hunting season and I was just curious what kind of success you had and what kind of animals did you see?

My dad drew 11 elk and 11a deer, he wanted to focus on the deer so we did that the first week and then hunted 3 days each weekend and couldnt turn up any bulls. Saw a couple nice bulls in the back of trucks. My dads in his 60s so going into the breaks was out of the question. I was told the cow tag starts oct 1 and that week all the bulls are forced into the breaks. The only reasoning i can think of is idfg does that to make sure the herd bulls arent lingering on top come bull season. hope others had better luck.
