LAST EDITED ON Feb-24-17 AT 07:58AM (MST)[p]One has to wonder what they are going to raise the entry fees up to. It used to cost Fish and Game approximately 3k to conduct the draws.

If the numbers stated in that article are correct, this is a shocking move by the legislature.

Not really all that shocking, the legislators pass a bunch of bills that increase IDFG overhead costs while holding the fee increases hostage until IDFG caves to their demands for auction tags and bonus points and the ability to sell landowner tags. Eventually IDFG will have to give in to get their fee increase even if it is not the will of the people.

It is just sad that the legislators are doing this to FG and the people of idaho. Hopeful that more people will see what is really going on and quit blaming fish and game for this as well.

I don't think many are blaming F&G, most of us know who the real enemy is. It is pretty sad when better than 50% of hunters and anglers can agree to support a few increase and the legislature decides to hold it hostage by forcing things on the people that better than 50% oppose
