I have always had a bunch of squirrels and rock chucks. Well this year I had a rock chuck get under my shed. And my Shorthair decided to dig him out. After moving about 400 tons of dirt and gravel I caught her at it.
So I bought me a Benjamin Trail NP2 air rifle 22 cal.
This thing is a great little rifle. Shoots awesome and has the power to take out squirrels easy but head shots are required for chucks.

That rifle seems a little "Buck Rogers" for your taste.

(The younger guys will have no idea about Buck)

Cool!

That is a different looking squirrel than I used to see here in E WA.
Almost looks like a cross between a eastern fox squirrel and a Columbia ground squirrel with that bushy tail.
