Bannock Zone

A good friend of mines wife drew this elk tag, the second season with 200 tags. I will be helping them and was wondering if anyone has spent anytime on this unit and would be willing to share some info. PM if you would like.

That's a very tough hot even for the locals. I know because I lived there in Bannick County for eight years and tried hunting it a few times. The problem is that you have archery elk unlimited. Then you have the first season rifle hunt and then rifle deer season opens the week before your elk hunt. Also a lot of The elk from unit 73 and 70 move west onto the Indian reservation befor the season opens. Also there is a lot of private that most of the elk go to as well.
