Going to be hunting this unit this year (Oct hunt). I have spent a small amount of time out there in the past, and plan on taking a couple of scouting trips. Just wondering if anyone has experience or has hunted the area and could offer some pointers of where to start looking.

Cache and Independence Peak are great areas to start. If you get weather (snow that is) then follow the snow line on Cache Mtn.....also the Jim Sage Mtn range is a great place to be when the deer start to move down. Spent a little time near the City of the Rocks, also some good bucks near there as well.
