Finally after 16 years of applying me and my brother drew. We spent alot of time in the unit 10 years ago but not lately as lack of drawing success. Been out scouting 15 times between us and have only located a handfull of bucks with the biggest being 165. Getting frustrated as where to start looking. Any help would be greatly appreciated and happy hunting to all this fall

So i have been out a few more times mainly in the southern portion of the unit by the fields on the east side of the highway and still am not finding any mature deer. Am i too low? Are they all just nocturnal with the heat or am i missing something? Any advice is welcomed thanks

Its hard to stay motivated when you cant find anything. Im heading back out tomorrow afternoon and going to stay the weekend. Thanks for the reply i will be out almost everyday in oct especially the last week

52 is not what it used to be, like judkins said late October is gonna be your best bet. I would concentrate on the thorn creek area and close to unit 45 though a lot of that is private.

>Well buckhunter how'd the hunt go?

Here is my buck 30 3/8 wide, 197 5/8.

Awesome buck! Congratulations!

Did you see any other big bucks? I'm curious what you thought of your hunt after this years slower hunting after last years tough winter.

Here is my brothers buck. He had almost 42 in of mass.
He was the heaviest buck we seen and mine was the widest. We did see lots of great deer many in the 190 to 200 range. We passed on them not realizing thier size untill we reviewed the video later in the evening's.
