I just tried a new spot in unit 25 this last weekend. Very disappointed in the lack of animals. I was on the eastern side north of Landmark and there were hardly any other hunters which should have been a clue. Saw a couple of cows and heard 0 calling. Just venting I guess but I was hoping to for a little more than I got. Country sure looks like it should have more.

Very low harvest usually. I was in there for a bit last year and saw no animals between me or other groups--it was pretty dead. The bio said the unit is okay with higher densities in pockets that are hard to access. Whatever that means.

I'd cover some ground in the unit trying to hit some hotter areas.

There must be Elk very close to there as there are quite a few wolves in the area. That's a good area to kill a Wolf or two.

Hunted 25 the last 2 years. Hard to find the elk but when you do you're in them. Missed a fired up 5 point last weekend. The trick is to get way way away from the people.
