I am planning to hit the muzzy season this winter as I didn't capitalize on my opportunities this archery season. I am new to the muzzy world and would appreciate any tips.

Edit: This would be for elk so .50 cal.

I would say $1200 for a muzzleloader is "stupid".
By "set up" what do you mean? It's just a smoke pole, no scope for Idaho allowed. You just put a few rounds through to get a accurate and comfortable base.
Why would you want someone else to "set it up"?
