LAST EDITED ON Oct-13-17 AT 08:47PM (MST)[p]Hey all so I normally hunt in areas where there are not nearly as many people but also not as many deer such as 25 or 36a. Drew 40 tag last year so was in owhyees. Just got back from my normal area earlier this week. If I don't get anything I do the 39 archery hunt which is probably my favorite hunt so I'm fairly picky during rifle if I even seen anything so that I still have a shot at a archery buck.

Anyways buddy and I at last minute decided we want to go tomorrow just for the day. Problem is i rarely hunt in close distance to boise besides archery. He pretty much only archery hunts so doesn't know decent rifle hunts. Don't mind driving a few hours. Thought of 43 but the area I know is mostly winter range so I doubt they are there yet. Ive hunted in the masses in 32a before but that's pushing it for a day hunt by the time you get up on top.

Lived here my whole life but being I don't usually hunt close I don't know 39 very well.

32 I know sagehen area isn't too far but don't know much about it for deer.

Not expecting much, but Any ideas on starting points? I hate road hunting and we would prefer to hike in somewhere
