I've done some boots on the ground and online scouting and I'm looking for any general direction on where to look in the unit.
My plan is to hit some public land near private ranches to intercept elk moving between. I'll likely look at some other lower elevation public land near Mackay. I expect them to be out in the open.
I'm going in early December. This will be to try to get my grandpa his last elk. Thanks for any help.
