Raffle ?

Bought a few raffle tickets for deer. First time doing it. Not holding my breath. It said any open unit. Im actually less concerned about the where as the when. How late can i be out?

Most of the late mule deer tags run almost into December.

You can hunt any open hunt in the state of Idaho, so you can be out as long as there is a hunt open in the unit you want to hunt in. Like D6 said, some archery hunts run as late as mid-December.

Can i have a rifle in my hand during those bow hunts? Washington's raffle is sept 1 to dec 31. Simple.

You have to follow the weapon restrictions for the season you're hunting.

You can hunt any general season or you can hunt any permit hunt. You have to use the weapon for the season or permit you are hunting. This is nothing like WA.

Which ever unit you are hunting you will be there with all the regular hunters that drew that unit or if it's a general season you will be hunting with OTC hunters. The advantage you have in controllled areas is you can move from one controlled unit to another.
