Sheep draw

Better just hope they can actually get results out by June 10th, both turkey and spring bear went past IDFG notification deadlines by at least a week

LAST EDITED ON May-18-18 AT 01:05PM (MST)[p]Turkey was 15 days late with no public statement or press release. F&G just didn't seam to care what their customers thought or who it inconvenienced.

Which legislators pushed to take the draw from IDFG and give it to a contractor? If someone could post their contact info it might be nice to provide some feedback on how much "better" they made the draw.

I am anxiously waiting for the results also but have to laugh a little when guys start bitching on May 15. Now you want to email a legislator? Truly laughable.

I doubt you will get any sympathy for anybody that applies for a Utah tag. Think they waited 2 1/2 months.

They?ve been using a contractor for awhile. This isn't their first contractor just a new one. The old one didn't bid low enough.

True we are pretty fast but Utah also didn't keep full tag fees for 2 1/2 months like Idaho does. I just don't like the way the agency is handling the screw ups. Not any kind of explanation or apology for being so late on the bear and turkey draws. If they go past June 10?on this one I'll be writing commissioners and legislators over the lack of customer service.

Idaho also doesn't have points to factor in. It's literally the easiest draw to run. Still can't figure out why Idaho even makes us wait past a week for draw results.

Agreed! And quotas are set every 2 years!

Perfect example of "Ya get what ya pay for"!

One good thing that has come out of all the waiting is I have my Idaho logon username and password burned into my memory at this point!

What's the big deal. At this point everyone still has hope at least. Once they post not selected for everyone it's all over but the crying.

Anybody got any new info? Are we getting close? Looks like the person calling June is going to be correct...

If you put in for one you can't put in for the other so going past the deadline doesn't really matter.

Only thing this may be messing up is the out of state guys waiting for last minute for deer/antelope in Wyoming which closes 31st of May.

Right. I just wondered if they'd try and get one done before the rush of the other one... but this year the deadlines have been more like guidelines anyways :)

That's me ??

Agreed, wtf is wrong with Idaho's IT department? For f cks sakes already...
I was considering putting in for the moose super hunt for the wife and I by the May 30th deadline if we didn't draw in the April 30th drawing, but I simply won't without knowing the f*cking result of the first draw! We are waiting on hunting plans for the entire season right now with these bozos.
....it ain't rocket science.

For me, the biggest deal is that I have my oldest son in for moose and whether or not he draws will affect what deer, elk, and pronghorn draws I apply for with my other son and my hunting buddy. Knowing before June 5 would sure be helpful and that's next week. Last year it was 5/23 when they were posted.
