First time putting in for a limited entry deer tag this year. About what date do we find out, and how do we find out ie. email, phone call, letter in mail, website?

Thank you all for sharing on this website, I have learned a ton from all of you.

Semper Fi,

Grady

Some of the antelope seasons start a lot earlier than that!

All joking aside, it's probably going to be in the first half of July some time, but who really knows with the way it's been going and the extension of the dates to put in.

Last year some of the seasons had already started when the got the leftover tag results out. I really wonder if some of those seasons are gonna be about over by the time they get around to getting those results out this year..

I am doubting they run a second draw this year, odds are they will release the results late, announce that because of the late results they are suspending the purchase deadline and any remaining tags will be first come first served

>Hehehe.

There is one thing that California does right and that is stick to the schedule on the draw. They get it done! But they area the worst at every thing else....

Hell no don't encourage California to get involved. They are like a plague slowly moving east. I'll wait, impatiently.

I thought about that too, and wouldn't be surprised if they did it that way.

They used to do the leftover tags that way though and it didn't go so well not to mention they miss out on the opportunity for extra dollars in application fees.

My gut tells me they will still just hold the drawing and give those "lucky" antelope hunters 3 days to fill their tag.
