Hey all long time lurker first time poster. I have the October rifle tag and I have never hunted 52 and been scouting some having not seen much. Any thoughts suggestion? Thanks

Last two weeks, other than that, if early get high on the rock piles and glass, the ag fields, some of sage is 5 ft plus and the bucks love it. Big resident deer, And watch for them damn snakes.

Are the elk in 52 all on the ag as well? I've wondered. The bio I talked to made it seem like it.

Yes, but the lava flows also hold both species as well.

So the deer and elk don't stay exclusively on the private, they bounce back and forth? Or some just live on the lava flows?

I been search ing a lot Is this a migration based unit?

A few elk to be seen for sure. With Deer I think the lack of any weather for months is not helping.
