General deer - who?s headed out?

Good luck to everyone headed out for the opener tomorrow.

I just spent a couple days in the central part of the state, backpacked in but didn't see jack squat so came out to relocate. Not a big surprise as I've never seen many deer in this particular area.

Weather looks messy for some areas today and tomorrow, could be good or bad depending on visibility.

Its going to be interesting with the reports I've been seeing already. More non-residents than ever in areas that I usually hunt. Should be a blast with this early snow though, really excited.

I drove through parts of units 39, 45, 44 and 48 today. It was misty and wet most of the way with low clouds the entire drive. That fresh snow on the mountains sure looked inviting! Unfortunately I won't be able to hunt until the last week of the season. Good luck to everyone and be safe!
