Any of you fellas know anything about the late whitie tag for this unit??? I would consider using my points for a real bruiser Whitetail. I see there are 3 national forest areas and some spots it borders the Reservation....What do you think????Thanks, Dan.

I have never hunted it, but have been wondering the same thing myself, i hear and see pictures of some really nice bucks taken with that tag, and i guess its just a blast with all those whiteys runing around. there is also a couple outfitters that you can pay i think for that hunt to take ya round on private ground and maybe just a trespass few. i think it might be worth it.

My parents were born and raised in the Molson/Chesaw area so I have spent considerable time in the area...There are some big whitetails in that country both horn and body wise. Most of my experience has been on private ground as my great grandfather homesteaded there. All of his ground has been subdivided now and sold. the National forest hold alot of whitetail in the MT Hull/ Havillah area...over the yrs Ive seen some brutes. Its not that easy to get drawn for in my recollection?? I know a guy who hunted it last year and some a couple nice bucks but could never quite connect...I could probably get some more in depth info if you get drawn...good luck!

Polar Bear hunts that area. There are nice whitetails in that area, your best bet is on the Okanogan County side of the unit, the Ferry County side holds more muleys. If you can get private land permission, that's a plus, as anywhere. The NF can be good, but the tribe's hit it hard south of Hwy 20, given that, I'd head up in to the Chesaw Wildlife area, or try oround Mt. Bonaparte.

The late archery whitetail season is from 11-20 thru 12-8 and is any whitetail deer. I have hunts available on my private ground in the Okanogan Highlands. There are some real nice size whites. We border the national for several miles. Mark- [email protected]
