I am thinking about hunting Elk in Washington this year for the early archery hunt. I was just wondering how much non res tags are? I can't find it on the website

>Looks like $432.00.

No refund if you don't get drawn for a special tag either.

thats a lot of money for a spike only hunt. Unless you have 10+ points dont count on drawing a big bul tag. I live here and I have yet to draw a branched antler tag, 8 years applying.

You can hunt western wa.and it is 3pt or better, you can hunt most of the state with a nonres over the counter tag.

most of e-wa is spike only or some cow permits.

dont come to washington with high hopes. the westside is marginal at best. i would invest the money in another state were there are elk. there is a million people around every corner cow calling and bugling at the which what few are here. i would look into idaho i thin you still got untill june 5. the hard part about the westside is it has alot of private timber companies. so you have to pay to get into most of them or hike from the gate . which the hiking would be your only saving grace. there is some public land but thats were everybody that dont pay to hunt goes.. this state is just a hard state for people from out of state to come to. for better words to expensive and mis managed animals. thats why go out of state to hunt.

WA F&G loves fish. Big game, not so much. Have the hunt dialed in before arrive or most likley the experience will be frustrating. WA is not CO.
