Congrats on a great tag. Tough country but good hunting. I may be in there with a guy who has the same tag. I have spent some time in there and have a pretty good idea where we will be but am curious now that there are 11 tags rather than 3 or four where everyone will go. Maybe shoot me a pm. nwhunter

I got a muzzy deer tag in there with only 2 days to hunt before i head to nevada.Dont know much about deer in the unit just wanted to spend more time in there so when I draw my elk tag I am more familiar with the unit.I will keep an eye out for elk in there if u keep an eye out for deer.What u looking for a 330 or above type elk hope to make atleast a couple trips in there.

colorado deer and elk,montana deer and I hunt idaho every year thats my favorite deer hunt.Should be a busy fall the way I like it.

We never see many deer in the east wenaha. Not saying they arent there just not as many as you would expect. Spent plenty of time behind binos looking where they should be and come up empty, but if yo find them it could be a dandy. With only a couple days to hunt hopefully you scout something up ahead of time. If its still dry they will hang around the springs for water I have noticed.nwhunter
