Western Washington Elk Hunting

Im 20 and will be archery hunting for elk in western washington for the first time. I heard the coast and mount st. helens areas were the best bet but that lots of people occupied these areas. If anyone would be willing to help me out a little with where to start looking I would greatly appreciate it. Ill be by myself and am willing to pack many miles to get to secluded places. Thank you.
