this is not my first post. i changed ISP and had to start over this being said as i do not want to come out with my first post under my new name looking asking for advice as though i have not posted before. with that being said....

if you could hunt any of the se wa units for muzzle branch elk which would it be?

is there one or two to stay away from because of limited access.

i have 6 points and was thinking the
mountain view unit and if i do not draw i can still spike hunt it or the wenaha unit which i can only hunt if drawn for a branch tag...atleast from what i can see.

thanks in advance for the help.

i can return the favor for ne oregon

By putting in for a unit does not limit you to that unit for general season if you do not draw. So put in for the ones you want to draw. If your don't draw then you will be able to hunt any of the open units for general muzzleload.

I've bear hunted mountain view a couple of times and it is some really steep and nasty country. If you plan on drawing a tag there make sure you have a means of getting your animal out.

a wenaha muzz tag holder ate his tag this year, and he knows the animals well. and yes mountain view is nasty steep
tucannon...lots and lots of bulls, and why not dayton?
the gov tag and raffle tags were filled in 162 this year.

What did the auction hunter kill? I saw pics of the raffle bull but havent heard anything about the auction hunter.

my thought was to hunt the spike only general muzzle until i get drawn for branch bull muzzle in the mountain view unit.

it is the only unit from what i can see in SE WA that offers a general season tag for muzzle elk.

when i do get drawn for branch i will know the unit and have a better chance for a successful branch bull hunt.

am i missing another unit that has a general muzzle tag in SE WA for elk?
