Any of you guys on here hunt the blue mountains in the SE for deer? I have gone a couple years, and we are going to try it again this year. Just wondering if any of you have had success.

what areas have you tried? Have seen some good bucks up by Bluedwood, Chase mt , coppei.
but it has been awhile since i have had the chance to go hunt up there. funny how wars mess up your past time. try the wheatfieds around the dayton area

Fork hunter, Did you draw a tag for that area or just hunting general? I drew a late season Blue Mt. Foothills B tag for deer and am also looking for info. My plan is to make a couple scouting trips, and hunt the last week when I get back from hunting deer and elk in Idaho. I plan on doing some knocking on some doors and begging for info or permission to hunt some private land but I probably won't have much luck with that. Does anybody have any pictures or idea of what a shooter buck is with that late season tag? Mike

I am just going to hunt general. Hunted there a couple years in the past when I lived in the tri-cities. Never saw a really big buck though. I guess there are a few in there. The areas I have hunted (in the wilderness) have had quite a few elk, but not too many deer. I did get a pretty nice 4x4 one year. Didn't get within range of a legal buck the other year. Going to try back packing this year.
It is just a backup area for me as I don't have anywhere else to hunt this year.
