My brother-in-law was supposed to put in for #1034 for his third choice on deer. He typed in #1024 instead. He drew the 3rd choice typo hunt! We have been trying for late mule deer tags for years. If he can't turn it back in, does anyone have advice for this hunt???
Whitetails from Nov. 1 - 18

I got drawn for this tag in 1996. I got married the week before this hunt and only got to spend one day during this hunt. The hunt started during mid week and there was a lot of snow. I got there on a Saturday morning when a couple of guys were coming out on their snowmobiles, the only way a guy could get around. Under their tarp they had what I thought was a illegally killed mule deer, but they had a matching double drop tine whitetail buck. It was a tremendous buck. If I had to guess, the drops were probably six to seven inches each. I can't remember the public area but I think it was something like Mt. Hull between Chesaw and the highway if this is the same unit and hunt. If I find my old map I will let you know the exact spot. I know you said you wanted a mulie tag, but this tag and hunt isn't a bad one.

If 204E includes Deer Creek up on Boulder Creek Pass do this. Come down from the top of Boulder pass and hunt the fenceline on the left side of the road where the National forest ends and private begins. If the snows aren't too crazy yet, there are some HUGE whitetails up there.

Magnus100,
I know approx. where you are talking about and am fairly sure that is not in unit 204 but in 100. But I'll check and make sure this evening.
