LAST EDITED ON Jan-01-16 AT 00:24AM (MST)[p]My annual post of elk on the ground. Started with a youth Oregon cow tag. Josiah got his 3 rd elk and last one as a youth. We hunted the first Saturday in October. It is a lot of fun having the bulls call us in. This year we made the rule only mature cows.

Next up was our annual trip to Wyoming. Andy joined us, we hadn't seen him in 10+ years. It went down pretty fast as three shots were fired and we had three cows on the ground.

Then yesterday I shot this cow on an Oregon late hunt.

All big cows!!!!

Life has been good to me so far.

Have a great new year.

Oneaway, I really appreciate your concern, but we do have enough freezer space, and mouths to eat it. In the future if I run out I will reach out to you. :)

I was thinking about hitting the end of year and how I am always glad to finish the last one. I have cut up 10 elk in the last 15 months. I'm crazy that is for sure. I'm the guy that cuts 100% of the fat and tendon off. It takes a long time to do it right but it sure turns out some good eats.
