My best friend and hunting partner drew this tag. He waited 18 years to finally draw. I was wondering if someone out there in the MM crowd can help us out. We would love to talk to someone who has been on this hunt recently. Takes so long to draw we were hoping someone would give us some starting points and some expectations. Thanks

It can be a trophy hunt if the weather cooperates. I've never hunted it but know several guys who have.
They paid a trespass fee to hunt private land, it sounds like if you really want a good buck that's by far the best way to hunt it.

Just drive the roads and he will get a nice buck! At least that's what I've heard from guys who have hunted on that tag.
Well he really had some bad luck. His dad had some serious health issues which really made it very hard. Even with a long season he only got to hunt 3 days. Said it was fun. He saw a lot of small bucks and only one big buck he thought would push 180. Got close but no dice. Family is more import than a dumb deer. Still hurts a little after waiting 18 years. Matter of fact he had a really good late season NV tag that was an even better tag that open dec 1st and he turned it back in. Good thing his dad passed on Dec 1st i believe. Sometimes its just not in the cards. Good thing there is always next season.
