I wont have enough time to work up a new load for this Mule deer season. I hunt blacktails with a hand load Nosler ballistic tip 150gr. Want to get some opinions on the Nosler 130 grain accubond or partitions or any other suggestion of a different load.

Why not just hunt with the 150? It'll kill any mule deer just fine. I shoot the Nosler 120 gr Ballistic Tip for everything out of my 280 Ackley.

I use a 110 sierra bullet It has worked great for years, I only use it for small deer antelope and pig.It may be easier to change the scope to some sort of dial system and keep the 150. lots of bullet drop with a 150 is the only reason I was using the 110 but the new scopes have changed all that for me.

Not sure why you want to go away from your 150 grain load if it has "worked great for years." Perhaps just a difference in where you zero will get you what you are looking for.

I have used various 140 grain bullets for years using max or near max loads of H4831. Lots of dead deer, both blacktail and muleys.

Not necessarily wanting or needing to go away from them. Just was thinking of a lighter load for a flatter shooting bullet. I haven't shot or had to take a shot around here in southern Oregon over 200. And I'm not sure how much compensation it will need for 300+ and I'm sure that's what I'll be shooting out east Dependingon the situation. I plan to take it to 300+ next weekend and see how my load will preform. I do have a BDC scope on there as well. I know that it will have the knock down power.

I shoot factory load Federal Partitions. 130gr for Deer, 150gr for Elk. Pricey, but great for a factory load.

No short cuts. Shoot your gun at 300, 400, 500, whatever you think you may need to shoot.

There is no other way. But shooting your gun at 600 yards will make you better at 300 yards, I promise.
