124 You could prob twice that many and add 6000 cats and alot of bears, the future not good for this state

In my opinion Oregon is one of the worse states for managing big game herds. Wolves are an issue but only one of the issues that it refuses to get a handle on. We need a two part plan if we ever hope to regain decent big game hunting.
1. Predator control including a sound plan for wolves which includes hunting them but more importantly cougars.
2. Oregon's human population is growing like a weed and we tend to leave this out of the conversation. We need to make some real drastic changes at least short term especially for mule deal that we as hunters will hate but it is necessary.
In a nutshell we can't blame it all on the wolves but they will become an increasing part of the issue.
Good luck in this liberal state were Keep Portland weird rules the government.

The wolves are something ODFW didn't ask for, but they seem much happier about it than I'd like. they don't need to hire all these hippies to follow them around and love on them with our money. go about it more like Idaho has done .
ODFW is not a game management department they're a money management department. ignore their endless studies and surveys , just follow the money and you can guess their next move.

Fish and Game killed 2 wolves the other day and think have 3 more kill permits, its a start.
