Anyone have any luck finding big bulls in Starkey, I am excited to start scouting and want to see some bulls.

I scored a net 356 B&C bull taken by a Starkey bow hunter a few years ago. but he was from private land and very uncommon from that unit.

I'm not sure what you consider " big " but don't expect too much it's not a trophy unit.

That's definitely a big bull in my book, but a big bull to me is whatever gets my blood pumping. Was just curious to see others success

The problem in Starkey is there aren't many spikes survive the second year of life, and there aren't many raghorns survive the next. so the age structure just isn't there.

If you can ditch some hunters it should be a fun hunt I know I'd like to have the tag. just don't ruin it by thinking it's a trophy hunt.

There are plenty of big bulls in Starkey, they are just hard to find on public ground because they are in thick nasty spots. Rifle season it is hard to find them in the thick cover and during archery a lot of the big bulls move down to private with the cows but are back in the thick nasty stuff come rifle season.
