free horses

my wifes friend posted this on her facebook account and said to copy and repost if anyone could help.



FREE HORSES!!! 52 thoroughbred horses in Oregon need homes. Will go to Sugarcreek this Sat. for slaughter. Gentleman died. His son wants nothing to do with them. Most broodmares are broke and some are in foal. Weanlings, yearlings, 2 yrs and 3 yrs old most are gelded. Friend of the deceased is trying to find homes. 440-463-4288 Barnesville. Either this story or another one just like it was bouncing around about 6 months ago. Quite a few of the details are identical, 52 thoroughbreds, sugarcreek, old man dies, son doesn't want them, respond by saturday, etc. It may be a true story but kinda hard to believe that it's not the same thing as before. If you look into it just be careful.

I rode a thoroughbred once...once was all it took to almost DIE!

There are free horses everywhere, or just take some grain and a halter up on the USFS or BLM and load a few up.

I can't imagine a free TB being much but a rank dirt track reject rescue case, good luck with that. people often have their heart in the right place but it's a lost cause.

as a matter of fact- why dont they just go let them go up in the national forest? i mean, were feeding tons of horses already- for no apparent reason, whats another 52?
i was rooting for they guy who was shooting all the horses this winter, not that it's a smart thing to do, but out of all of us "complainers", he was the only guy taking matters into his own hands. hopefully he gets up in the n.w. corner and decides to do some wolf hunting
