oragonians hunters R screwed!

Unreal, these people need to get a real job! They have no clue about the real world in regards to turning a KILLING MACHINE loose in the woods. I live in Idaho, and have seen the results of these so- called enviro-nature studies. Good luck Oregon hunters, get ready to see your'e resource go down hill even more!

OK, what did I miss? I read the article and nowhere did it say anything about wolves in Oregon. In fact, everything that it did say was most likely very true. Kind of like saying that if we burned all of the homes on winter range, we'd have more deer. We see it as the animals that we want most are the one's that we hunt. They see it as wanting the whole diversity of species. They aren't wrong, it's just not what we want.

Totally with you, missalot. I don't see what is enraging about this article? Trophic cascades are real and a very sensible explanation as to why the lynx has declined.

are you two tree huggers?

i didnt read the link-

but "real a very sensible explanation to why the lynx has declined" tells me 1 of 2 things:
1- your a tree hugger trying to pretend to be a hunter
2- your a qweer, because no self respecting MAN would write that.

>i didnt read the link-

Perhaps that would be a good start?

Yes, only tree huggers can understand how population dynamics work.

Yes, you're right, only gay people believe in science. Which makes everything you use in your life - cars, clothing, guns, ammunition, medicine, technology - the work of gay people.

Haha, surely you are a troll??

geeze, dont have to get your panties in a wad- i was just asking - you came off as being gay or a tree hugger, but now you said your not either one of those.

i dont know why you have to start making personal attacks? a troll? man your rude..............

so what part of science says wolves aren't wipeing out deer and elk and moose and anything else they are coming into contact with?

you must be from the "west side" of oregon?

Hey NOT ALL people on the "westside" are gay tree huggin freaks!!! LOL

muleyman (molalla oregon, westside)

No, you weren't 'just asking'. You were using insults to try to emasculate people who believe in science, which is absurd considering everything in your life is designed around what we know through science.

Science does not say that wolves are not killing deer, elk, or moose and nobody is claiming that. If you go read the article linked in the first post you'll see that science is making a link between reduced hare populations (due to an increased coyote population that is insufficiently filling in the wolves' role) and subsequent reduced lynx populations. That's not a hard jump for anyone to make, especially us hunters, but it's not a jump we can make just because 'it makes sense'.

Wolves killing deer and elk in Oregon may 'make sense', but that is not (and should not) be a reason to wipe them out. It's a complicated, emotional issue and science is the best hope we've got to get past them, so we best understand it and use it to our benefit.

300wbymann,

If you're the same guy over on Ifish then I've read your crap over there as well. You truly are an un-educated nitwit. Your latest posts here just take the cake. You truly don't know what you speak of when you interject your two cents on any subject. Hell, it's not even worth two cents! The poster that you chose to chastise is one that wrote a truly intelligent, unbiased post. You chose to respond to it with pure ignorance and and accusations of someone being homosexual because of their ideas on the ecosystem diversity? Wow, genius!

Do everyone a favor and go learn something.

I'll reply as soon as I get my panties out of the crack of my...or is that my queer buddy up there or maybe the tree I just hugged (boy, talk about jumping the gun..give em a hug and 'wham' or should I say 'OUCH'). Anyway, try reading the story, then make an intelligent reply.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-01-11 AT 09:57PM (MST)[p]This is just his theory to get the wolves reintroduced into the ecosystem again.
I bet a few controlled fires over a few years would do the same thing without reintroducing the wolf.

So are you from the west side of oregon?

I'd maybe loose, but i'd bet my very last doller on either one of you being. From "eastern oregon".

Muleyman, you get an exemption- your one of the VERY FEW from the west side that don't have their heads so far up their asses that they can smell their own breath..........

Hey not all of us on the wet side got our heads where the sun don't shine.
There is a few of us that are not granola eating tree huggers that rides mass transit or our recumbent bikes to work.

Very well said brute.

I must admit I did once listen to and feel a bit of heartstring tugging from the song 'sound of silence'. Sorry to admit

Oregonbowhunter you hit it on the head.

300Wbymann is a true idiot. The man even stated that he didn't read the article. Really amazing someone would not read the article but would respond to a respnce that someone was a tree hugger and a queer.

I'm defently not for wolves in oregon, not by any means.

And yes 300Wbymann I live in Eastern Oregon. By your complete ignorance you make all of us in Eastern Oregon look like a bunch of ignorant idiots.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-04-11 AT 06:15PM (MST)[p]why thank you silver, and right back at you buddy;)
