Hey guy's, I have a West Applegate Antlerless/Spike tag starting on October 22nd. I was not going to buy the tag but, I did not fill an archery tag this year. I have been over looking a couple times in the Deer creek and Lake Selmac area. I haven't hunted this far West before, guess I wasn't ready for the thickness of the brush and the poison oak!! Anybody have any suggestions of another area to take a look and any available camping? Thank's for the help, HAWK

This is a tough hunt. There are a few elk in the Deer creek area but they tend to be low on the private ground. I live in the unit and I have only seen a handfull of elk in the last 30 years

I believe he was refering to the spike/anterless deer tag.

My bad, he shouldn't have any trouble finding a doe to shoot, a cow would be 1000 times tougher
